I'm assuming that without the TT faculty experience, a deanship will be hard to come by. But I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility to direct an interdisciplinary center or work in grants administration. Surprisingly, I really like chasing money...doesn't that automatically qualify me as an admin? (That's a joke.)

Baby, if you're good at chasing, and catching, money, you will be employed into perpetuity!  You could be an excellent mentor for faculty who need coaching on grant-writing (say, oh, I don't know, humanities types!) and there is definitely a place for knowledgeable and enthusiastic grants administrators outside of the sciences.  I think your future is very bright.

Do you hail from Planet Hello Kitty?

It's like an action movie, but boring.

Aw shucks, anthroid. Thanks. That's appreciated more than you even know. It's been a rough few days trying to make this decision but that comment makes it all worth it. Merci beaucoup.
