Hello,

If your interested in "SB 5" <Senate Bill 5> and would like to locate the document to see the proposed deletions and additions that may/will affect you....Then click on the link below.

http://www.legislature.state.oh.us/BillText129/129_SB_5_PSC_N.html

I have went through and copied every section that would or does (imho) affect teachers, and I made a seperate document with the proposed additions that affect teachers. I would have attached them to the post, but I don't see that option.

If you have not looked up the proposed deletions/additions to SB 5, then you are in for a shock.

You are aware, are you not, that we are college professors, staff, and graduate students? Aside from an occasional mention having to do with sick leave, this document doesn't seem very relevant to this forum.

The bill is relevant to the forum focusing on the connection between secondary schools and postsecondary education, but it is also relevant elsewhere, and would probably attract more interest if posted elsewhere.

This bill is the Ohio version of public-employee union-busting.  If it succeeds, it will affect K-12 education, and thus higher education indirectly.  It will also affect employees including faculty at public colleges and universities directly, and that outcome is probably of more interest to Chronicle readers.
