I will be in Moscow, Russia for a conference in a couple of weeks.  The conference lasts three full days, but I will spend seven days there.  Do you guys have tips or ideas on where to go, where to eat, and what to do?  I am especially interested in doing things off the beaten path.

Definitely visit the Arbat. It's a bit touristy, but still, you may be able to pick up some nice stoneware or wooden toys.
