For one of my Masters' classes, I have to create an Expatriate Portfolio. I am looking ot "move" to Istanbul, Turkey to work as a Director of Residence Life at a university. I have some questions that I hope could be answered.
How would I find out info about taxes and money taken out of a paycheck by the government?
How do I apply for working papers?
Does the Director of Residence Life live on campus?
Will I need a car in Istanbul?
What is the government structure?
What is the vacation amenities like for higher education?
Thanks for any help that people can give!
Er, pardon me if I am incorrect, but are you essentially asking the fora to do your research for you?
We don't really do that here, and so you are liable to get all sorts of intentionally wrong answers, in hopes that you will put them into your paper and that your professor will see that you were trying to get around doing the work.
If that is not your intention, then ... well, you still might get all sorts of intentionally wrong answers. Some of us are not very trustworthy. I won't say which of us, of course. That would be telling.
