Just so we're clear, my displeasure at this new state of unstalkability remains.

Wait. Seriously. You can no longer read the CHE fora without signing in? That is messed up.

No.  Reading posts is fine.  You can't see a person's profile without signing in.

And, we had this discussion recently soon after that became the case.  Do your background reading, people.

However, I am curious about

it is only a myth I have the highest post count. Just other people don't log in or change monikers or regularly use socks.

I can point to one obvious example of a person who exceeds Prytania's post count.  However, all the other ones at best don't even add up to my post count without my socks.  I can get a couple in the 18 000 range, but that's it.  Am I truly that clueless or was the one glaring example what you meant, Prytania?

I can only think of one person whose combined post count is higher than Pry's (probably the same person Polly is thinking of). There's one other who *might* have a higher post count, but I don't know all the different monikers that forumite has used so I don't know for sure.

Well, Polly, your word count exceeds mine by  dissertations. My posts are generally short. You can't talk about the weather in under five paragraphs.

Snowing and cold.

See Polly, you could have done that in one word, "Snowing."  The cold can be assumed.

The cold cannot be assumed because I'm a Wisconsinite.  32 F is not cold.  Below 0 F is cold.

Thus, it is both snowing and cold here, unlike last week when it was snowing and not cold.

Perhaps this should go on the "folklore" thread, but I thought there was a point, before 0F, where it is to cold to snow?  Which would mean that you would never be able to describe the weather as snowy and cold...

Folklore, I'm afraid. It's never too cold to snow.
