"up-selling" the other
«

I'm on the market in the humanities. My sig-other is and has been employed as an academic physician (surgeon) and has several ivy league degrees and has also (given their employability) said they would be willing to move for my (in the unlikely event one should arise) potential TT position.
How should I play this when applying for jobs (if at all)?
Is it appealing at all for a search committee to have this situation if they are interested in me?
Where and when should I mention this (if at all)?
What other things should I think about when applying?
Thank you.

I think the general rule is that you don't raise this until an offer is received, or at the very earliest the campus interview stage. At the application and interview stages, you need to put yourself forward, not your spouse.
