What's the latest advice on cold sores? Since they are herpes infections, if you have one, do you still have to be very careful around newborns, and are those with little babies still advised to make sure they are not kissed by anyone with a cold sore?

Yes it is infectious, so it is wise to NOT kiss or share glasses, toothbrushes especially during an outbreak.
Starry, I
KNOW
!! Its awful isn't it? The Zofran is actually helping with that for me, or I eat an antacid a few times a day. It helps some.
Today was my CVS, and on one hand, I am worried that there will be something wrong. On the other, I am excited to know the gender so early....
it was NOT pleasant.

Confused and sad. Or happy. I'm not sure...

When antacids don't quite do the job, talk to your doctor/midwife about pepsid AC. Mine had me on that PLUS the antacids. The combo did help.
Hang in there, ladies. It's worth the suffering even though nothing makes the suffering easier to handle.

So, littlefred did you find out gender? Care to share? (I totally understand if you're keeping it to yourself).

Hi Starri, we should know the results sometime end of next week or early the following.
Since it is a teaching hospital, I agreed to participate in a study, and in order to do both, they need to have more cells. More cells, more growing time...
but we should know before Christmas. I'll probably share here and in person, but it won't be 'public' (like facebook) till later.
*I'm planning to out it on FB on New Years. bigfred has to go to an event at the 'boat club' on New years, and I'll be here waiting... so it should keep me entertained!
Today, I'm stressing about getting on a plane on Tuesday.... and there is a HUGE storm coming. What are the chances that I'll get out of Tundra-Town on a plane at 6am on Tuesday?
Slim? NONE?
And I detest flying under the best of conditions.
