Hello everyone,

I am a new poster but I have been reading the Chronicle of Higher Education and "lurking" (reading but not posting) on the fora with great interest.  I know this forum is to discuss Chronicle articles but I have seen people post articles from third-party sources, so I believe this is acceptable (and it's definitely relevant).  Moderators, if this is not the proper forum for this post please move it to appropriate forum.

Someone has made an xtranormal video (xtranormal is a website which allows people to create animated movies) entitled "So you Want to Get a PhD in the Humanities".  It's available on the xtranormal website and on YouTube and is about 5 minutes long.  The links are below.

I was curious as to what people thought of this video, as it touches on many on the themes that have been discussed in the Chronicle and on the fora.

I believe the video was inspired by a similar video, entitled "So you Want to Go to Law School"

Other than the crack about Juneau Community College, which gave me a huge laugh, I really didn't find it all that humorous. Maybe it hits too close to home, but thanks for posting it anyway. I will send this to the next student that asks me for a rec letter to get into grad school.
