I think it would be a royal hassle to only keep quizzes open for 48 hours. Put a huge note on the quiz saying something like, "ONLY LAUNCH THIS QUIZ AFTER YOU HAVE THOROUGHLY AND CAREFULLY REVIEWED CHAPTERS ONE AND TWO.

I would also suggest a policy like each student gets two free quiz resets, no questions asked. With the question bank, this doesn't give anyone an advantage, but it cuts down on whining and additional hassles for you.

Interesting.  So if a student has thoroughly and carefully reviewed readings and prepped for the quiz the first time, then why give not just one but two more times to test?  Then what is being tested the second or third time, since it would not be mastery of the material that was to be done before the testing the first time?
