We recently had an applicant apply for a position with a PhD from  NorthCentral University.  We rejected the application because said applicant had no publications, but I got to thinking?  Where is NorthCentral University?  Does it have a football team?

They don't have a football program at all.

Their website doesn't say anything at all about offering a Ph.D. in anything, or even a master's.

My goodness.  How can I scrap the yucky residue from my hands?  I see a real problem if accreditation agencies don't buckle down.  Seriously - soon these online for profits will start to look legitimate, and then we are all screwed.
