Morning dress (although Ascot actually banned from the Royal Enclosure this week), in the hunting field, or with a velvet smoking jacket or dressing gown only.

Does anyone know anything about Tumi? The reviews I've seen indicate that it can hold an iPad pretty easily. I like that it comes in blue (bright pink or orange are right out). |

What's happened to necklaces? Looking at dresses worn at the Grammys (and other recent red carpet events), hardly any of the women are wearing necklaces. So many of those plunging necklines and strapless gowns just scream for a gorgeous necklace, but hardly anyone wears one. They look naked to me. Am I just old fashioned?

Naked is right! I have noticed the same missing necklaces and wondered if the idea was not to give more of a sense of nakedness. For my part, I'm thinking I'd like to experiment with a very thin silver chain with a http://www.etsy.com/listing/85775260/french-silver-antique-religious-medal-st?ref=sr_gallery_9&sref=&ga_includes- =tags&ga_search_query=st+saint+therese&ga_page=3&ga_search_type=all&ga_facet= disc, perhaps a relic medal worn, so the medal falls right in the dip between the collar bones.
I don't think this look would go with a deep plunge of a neckline. Just thought I'd share my fantasy here.

What's happened to necklaces? Looking at dresses worn at the Grammys (and other recent red carpet events), hardly any of the women are wearing necklaces. So many of those plunging necklines and strapless gowns just scream for a gorgeous necklace, but hardly anyone wears one. They look naked to me. Am I just old fashioned?
I wear huge chunky vintage necklaces (usually two- or three-strand, slightly longer than choker-length, in one color family and non-symmetrical stones. They're often Bakelite or something similar--like this or this) ALL THE TIME. I have ones that match nearly every color of outfit I'm likely to wear--I love them more, even, than all my vintage scarves from the early 60s. They dress up an outfit effortlessly! Those actresses are fools. |

I just purchased a Beijo purse off ebay. I hope that I like it as much as my last one.
I went clothes' shopping yesterday and did not buy a single accessory, but I have lots that I don't wear enough already. Need to get busy getting my look together.

Compdoc, I was thinking just yesterday that I needed another Beijo purse. A brown one. My only other brown Beijo is a briefcase. All my other Beijos are black and platinum and charcoal.

Did not win the Pink Promise, which I wasn't sure I wanted to win anyway, since my mother did not survive her breast cancer fight.

I've been looking for boots. I moved to a colder place and while my boots have lasted 3 or so years, they aren't going to be good through next winter.
I got a cute jean-type jacket in my shopping this weekend and wore it today, but forgot my winter coat. I'm going to be cold walking to class, but I will look good!
