I mistakenly derailed a very quality thread with an offhand comment; I'd like for that discussion to migrate to here, keeping the honorable purpose of the previous thread unstain'd with the ichor of my misdeeds. So, this thread is for one-offing the one-offs or discussing the socio-political ramifications of the one-off thread.

With all the baby and parenting talk, I really need to stop checking the fora when my new boyfriend is around.

Heh, I keep getting worried that 98 will notice and worry if I have a tab opened to the LHC.

Heh, yeah, that is actually what I had opened when he walked in last night and I quickly hit "new replies"

But I really came here because I realized that I found the wrong one-offs thread. I am confused.

I read this and wondered where the rest of the one offs had gone. How confusing...

BTW, I then thought "But we talked about all of this." Well, except for the part where I was crushing on another guy when I first started crushing on him. And I clicked back. Then I panicked again. And he asked what was going on with the fora today (I read him some of the funnier stuff sometimes - a few days ago I used the opening the wine bottle with a shoe to explain that lots of academics don't really know what to do with themselves over the summer) and I told him about all the infertility and parenting threads. Again.

I think I see a problem here. Reply #4 is a direct response to reply #3. Therefore, it's not clear which would be the correct venue for "one-offing" something posted on the "Post your one-off one-offs here" thread? Should I go back to the original "one-offs" thread or start a "one-offing the one-offs one-offs here" thread?

Also, on which thread would I be likely to find the answer to the question posed in #8?

Wondered that myself. Yet, Polly and I are usually on the same wavelength, so I keep searching my memory thinking I should know. I keep coming up empty, while knowing that when finally figure it out I'll feel a fool for it having taken so long. I dunno. Spring Break Brain? Just doesn't work like it should?
