Last week I was a first timer at the NAFSA Conference and it was a great experience.  Everyone was nice and willing and wanting to help/network.  I'm excited about joining the industry.

While there, I learned about a relatively new masters program and I wanted to know if anyone has heard about it and their thoughts.  Sounds too good to be true. www.gsmbarcelona.com

Basically, it's a 1 year masters program, they provide you with a paid internship, taught in English, and free Spanish lessons.  A big plus is it's in one of the coolest cities...Barcelona.

I'm a little confused about the difference between a MBA degree, MSc degree, and a Master Professional degree?  Why are the GSM Masters degrees not considered MBA degrees? Or are they?

I'm a little confused about the relationships between GSM, UAB, and EUSS.  Are the GSM Masters degrees issued by UAB?  Is GSM a center located on the UAB campus?

How will this program look on my resume to employers (study abroad programs, universities, etc)?

Well, I didn't see anything on their very empty website to indicate they are affiliated with the UAB. In fact, they say they have 2.000 companies with which to do an internship but if you look at the companies they are linked with you end up with a form to fill out if you are from a company interested in joining their endeavor.

The same is true of the other universities with which they are linked. They have one or two photos from 2 places.

I'm afraid it doesn't look very sturdy but that's just from the website.
