Hi all,
I completed work on a book a few months ago, and am now making final edits to the proofs.  Since completing the book, I've accepted a position at a different university, where I'll be starting just about the time the book is due to come out.

My question: Are there any generally accepted guidelines for which institution I can claim as my affiliation for the book?  I would prefer to list my new institution; however, all of the work was done while at the present university.

Any thoughts or advice?
Thanks!

I was in the same position as you last year.  I listed my new university affiliation on the book jacket and promotional materials (after all, if someone reads the book and thinks you're swell and wants to invite you to give a talk, you want the info on the jacket to be current and correct).  In the introduction, I acknowledge the little grant I received from my former university, and a couple of those colleagues.
