I received offers from KFUPM and KSU to work as an Assistant Professor. KFUPM offered $3700\month, free housing, and two-year renewable contract. KSU offered $4100\month, 25000 SR annual housing allowance, and one-year renewable contract. I will be grateful if you let me know which offer is better.

KFUPM is far better than KSU!

KSU recruits candidates even without an interview! In contrast, KFUPM conducts in person interviews across North America and Europe.

Hi Nicolax,
I am curious to know more about salary & related details of an Assistant Professor at Umm Al-Qura U. I am not sure if 11,000 / year is really correct. I believe its just a typo. I would think this figure is / month? How about children education allowance? And vacation allowance? Any other allowance such as research funds/ academic travel funds?

If you have already started working at  Umm Al-Qura U please post your impressions.
Thanks,

Hi Amsale,
No, I declined that offer - yes, you're right, it was 11000 SR + 80% per month.

In this university you usually receive allowances including including travel, medical assistance, children education..
