Oh, it's horrible. I have the worst feet. Ugly as sin. It's a good thing the rest of me doesn't look like my feet.
So, um, ever go to the dept store for something totally unrelated, like a mattress pad, and come back with 50 some odd dollars worth of yarn? Yup. That's me.

Another trip to the department store for more bedding, and left with more yarn.
I think I have a problem.

I think I have a problem. $50 of yarn depending on the type, may not be a lot, but yes you need to ban yourself from the yarn aisle of the department store until you have finished your other projects. I'm sure I could crochet something other than a scarf, but for the moment I am making a bunch with funky yarn. All will be donated to families in need though with the warm weather, most (thankfully) won't need scarves.

Thanks guys!
I think I am also going to invest in a few knitting classes after Christmas.
Y'all are the best!
OK, after the first lesson, I think I am starting to get the hang of it... I practiced for another hour or so after the lesson, and it isn't pretty, but I do feel successful. But, alas, the real world is calling, and I must finish work-related tasks.

Correct, as usual, TZ. That's because you are not Dude. TZ, however, is Dude. TZ is my favorite. I wish YOU began with A.

Grassy has some. :) I did not. Then the socks blocked big, so all three socks are only fit to be worn as a SECOND pair of socks. That will teach me to be lazy on my swatch.

Apologies if folks have seen this, but my SO thinks it looks fun, so I will be buying it for Valentine's Day, and I thought it was a funny merging of interests: Austen Knits. Or Austentatious Crochet, if you swing that way.

I've been peeking at Austin Knits, trying to justify yet another knitting book, but hadn't seen the crochet one. Nice! A quick plug for one of the recommended books on the Austin Knits page: I picked up Knit Wear at a boutique while I was at a conference, and it's a really good mag. Almost no advertisements.

I am very proud of my first *successful* project-- a knitted baby blanket made from 16 4inch squares of brightly colored yarn. Go me!

Confession: I am about to crochet something ugly. Really ugly. But my nephew loves Spiderman, so what's an auntie to do?

Please tell me I'm not the only one with this problem. I really need to start knitting summer stuff in the winter, and winter stuff in the summer. Realized this last night, when it hit me that I'll be finished two winter sweaters by late spring.
