What are your thoughts on the online programs at Walden? I only ask because I was accepted into one of their programs and now I am unsure about accepting the offer.

What are your professional intentions after completing the program?  If you are looking at PhD programs, it may be difficult for you to find a faculty position, even at a CC or 'teaching' college because online programs are looked down on.  (However, it is not impossible. )

If you are using it for a private sector job, you may be alright...

A representative from Walden University will be on the thread shortly to assist you. Please hold.

In the meantime, See Wolf asked the most important question: Why would you be pursuing the degree? What are your professional and personal goals for this degree?

If you have a job in K-12 education or private industry that you plan on keeping and want people there to call you "Dr." go ahead. If you have any aspirations of being taken seriously, or gaining employment as an adjunct (to say nothing of t-t goals) stay away at all costs. A degree from an online, for-profit university will forever taint your vita.

I am not pursuing a Doctorate and not interested in teaching or research. I am simply interested in their Educational Technology Specialist program.

Okay, but I presume you are hoping to get hired somewhere, right? Where? And doing what?

Same question as Ms. P's.  I don't know anything about Walden's "Educational Technology Specialist" program and I refuse to look, for fear of receiving endless pop-ups from Walden asking if I want to speak with a representative.

The links provided upthread should be helpful.
