I have an upcoming interview with a community college.  It is the second round of interviews and will be done remotely like the first one.  Do you think the question will be similar to the first interview but with different interviewers?

Will there be a third round that includes a campus visit or can they make a job offer to someone without bringing them it?

I will go over the questions that I had before and will pour over the website.  I just have a hunch that I am not the best interviewer since I seem to get the interview and not the job.  No complaints since I am in the second round pool but I have been here before without getting an offer and  I do not want to make a stupid mistake.

Here are some questions that might help shed light on your situation:

Is your position for the fall or for this coming semester?  If it's for this coming semester, this is probably the final round of interviewing. 

Do you know who you are interviewing with?  At my CC, the search committee does the first round of interviews and then the finalists do the second round with the administration and the administration chooses out of the finalists. 

But on our Search Committees we make the process very clear to the candidates.   

It's perfectly acceptable to ask who you are interviewing with so that you can be prepared.  If it's an interview with the administration, the questions in my experience may be a bit more general and you may be asked things like how you see yourself fitting into the school as a whole (rather than the department), what committees and initiatives might you want to be involved with, etc...

If the faculty is unionized there may very welll be a contract on the school's website, and the contract might shed some light on hiring practices. 

Also, just in case you get an offer (and this happened to me at my second interview), it will be helpful to review the pay scale (usually lanes and steps) and have some idea of how it works.  In my case, I had an offer and I was unprepared and suddenly all these charts and graphs were thrown in my face and I had to negotiate.  I think my case was unusual (getting the offer at the 2nd interview), but not unheard of. 

So, in short, ask some questions to clarify your situation.  Best of luck!

Thanks for the tips.  I will ask who I will be interviewing with.   It is for the coming semester.  I hope this is the final round since I get so preoccupied during the interview season and I am not the best waiter.   The only problem is that the final outcome might not be the one I want. 

Do you think there will be a teaching demonstration  done remotely?

Did they make you an offer at the beginning or the end of the interview?  That does seem like an exception.  Congrats though.
