Hello,

I was hoping that someone could share a list of conferences for higher education that may be good for a student/new instructor to attend.  Thank you.

Not sure if this reply was meant to be as negative as it was received.  Before I placed this question, I did Google the topic but was hoping that someone on the board would have specific conferences that would be good for a student and new instructor to attend.  Maybe I did not clarify my question correctly, however, I did not appreciate this response (link)!

Jesus...do the words 'rude', 'impolite', or [post edited for name-calling-mods] mean anything to you.  If you didn't like the question, don't give an answer.

The OP does not ask a reasonable question. He needed to narrow it down, and at the very least say what discipline hu was in.

When the answer would be both multitudinous and 90% irrelevent, an OP can expect snark.

Especially on an academic fora.

Personal attacks and namecalling are not permitted on the fora, as per the posting rules.

Without knowing the discipline in question, we cannot know whether to suggest conferences in history, religious studies, biology, music, or basketweaving. OP needs to be more specific in what he/she is looking for.

Except you "called out" pyromania, not the OP.

You too can direct folks to the LMGTFY website.

Just go there, type in a search term (or question), and capture the url.

I was overusing it on the fora there for a brief period of time, so I have refrained from using it on you, Spicoli.  :)
