This all reminds me that I have to find out the exact procedure to follow if I find anything suspicious at Uni2.  I know they're tough and I know it's mostly out of my hands, but that's it.  Must do some research of my own tonight.

This place stinks like a pair of armoured trousers after the Hundred Years' War.

Another one who's required (at my R1) to start the process with a face-to-face meeting. It is usually as pointless as everyone has said, though sometimes it may lead to the source of the paper-- that is, I've had it turn out more than once that the plagiarized paper was in fact purchased from an essay mill. And on one memorable occasion, a colleague found two students, from two different classes, who had purchased the same paper-- the required personal meetings connected the dots and revealed the second case.
