Hi, I am a new poster and posting here with some hesitation and fear.
Children of military personnel, children of personnel who work at American consulates overseas, kids of foreign service workers and others who are American citizens often have foreign degrees. I am an American in a similar situation. My degree does not count and my credits do not count for the career I have in mind. The schools won't accept my credits or my degree, even though I have the equivalent of a 3.96 GPA from one of the best institutions in the world.
I need 90 credits in all from accredited American universities. What is the quickest and most painless way to accumulate 90 more credits in America?
Thanks for your suggestions.

Didn't you ask this question already on another thread? Isn't your first degree from Hong Kong? Were the suggestions you got then not feasible?

Why, yes! Yes, there is! And it's very quick!
But I wouldn't call it painless, oh no.
You may be very suspired to get this massage from me, beloved. I have a newly minted US degree here that was earned by my father at fine American university. I am looking for secure partner in confidents to transfer said degree to the United States. As I am a poor widow and my father was killed in the recent violence in Lichtenstein, I have praied hard to find the right person. And because your cousin's sister's roommate's nephew's cat breeder recommended you as a person of trust and honor, I know that my prays have been answered.
Give me your full name, address, date of birth, social secure number, and relevant bank account number so we can begin this transaction.
Yours in Chiste,

Some schools will indeed provide credit transfer for foreign coursework or allow some of it to count for a degree at their campus. If I recall from the other thread, you are looking to get in to a US medical school. Is that correct? If so, you should look into various options. For example, there are Post-Baccalaureate pre-med programs that last about 12 months (summer + 2 semesters, I think).

Re: "recent violence in Lichtenstein": I'm envisioning angry mobs of downhill skiers and stamp collectors attacking each other in the streets. A Swiss militia armed with bows and arrows is no doubt patrolling the border to keep the conflict from spreading.
In other words, thanks for a very deserving HOF entry, TF.

http://chronicle.com/forums/index.php/topic,64202.0.html is your original thread where some of us took you seriously and gave useful answers. The fact that you couldn't be bothered to check back on the Graduate Life Board and look through until you found something that rang a bell indicates to me that you are not likely to have the drive necessary to complete a medical degree.

If American medical schools are being difficult, perhaps you could consider the ones in Mexico or the Caribbean. They tend to be much more lenient in their coursework requirements. I've even seen them accept students without a BA/BS and some who only managed to pull C's in important classes after multiple tries. Yet, according to their recruiting brochures, they provide the same courses, quality of training and internship opportunities as American schools.
That said, the fact that it was mostly their graduates who were involved in the bribery scandal in Puerto Rico a few years back (bribing officials to mis-record their exam grades so they could get a license to practice) may deter you from considering them.

Thanks Pollinate. I cannot go to the Carribean because I have to take care of someone with serious medical needs. Mexico is close and I could go there but I understand you need to be absolutely fluent in Spanish? Can someone confirm this? Thanx

Maybe you should try to get those credits in geography. (PS Pollinate was obviously joking)

FYI my professor had said something in class about online forums. I mentioned this forum to him. He said something like only angry and frustrated academics post here. The co-prof added that she felt that Chronicle staffers post here under different monikers to give the impression that there are many academics online when there are only a few. I can see why both profs felt that way - some of you have been needlessly insulting to me. I never insulted anyone before. You are just driving many legit posters away leaving the forum to a bunch of losers. Anyway, I doubt if I will visit here again. Goodbye losers.
