European College of Liberal Arts in Berlin

Does anyone know anything about this school? From their website it sounds like they are very new (founded in 1999?). They also seem to have just a handful of faculty. What kind of students do they attract? How do they fit into the higher ed landscape in Germany?

They're a small, grant-funded (Christian A.Johnson Endeavor Foundation, I believe) college that uses elements of the great books model. They don't really fit in with the rest of German higher ed, which consists primarily of public institutions (universities, technical schools, etc.) and a few private institutions (mostly for business studies). I think the students are mostly a mix of middle to upper class European students (some from Germany, but many from elsewhere in Europe). They do offer financial aid. Students can get a US transcript with their ECLA coursework from Bard College.
I don't really know much. I met someone at a conference who had taught there. He seemed to like it.
