Well, the title says it all. Claude Lévi-Strauss died last week, at age 100.

Writing obituaries as a laudatory form of literature, more recent in anglophone countries, works so well here.
I was taken by the extended use of the melodic metaphor for his approach to his work and to life.
Thanks for the posting.
