Never heard of it. Anyone know the academic reputation or anything about it that isn't obvious from looking at its website? Thanks.

Princeton Review says they have a 21:1 student teacher ratio, which (if true) is pretty messed up.

P.S. Never heard of it, and I've heard of a lot of schools.

USNews says Tier 4 Liberal Arts. Truly teeny endowment. You might want to dig a bit more about the money.

I was born and raised in Kentucky, so remember hearing about Lindsey Wilson during college fairs. My impression then (20-odd years ago) was that the school tended to attract folks who thought they ought to go to college but didn't have the grades, motivation, or information to make a better decision. Not a great reputation - but then again, not a horrible one, either.

The other thing about LW is that they offer a fair number of associate degrees. So some students seemed to use it as an expensive community college.

Thanks, all. It doesn't sound like a first choice, but then again, who gets a "choice" when starting out? I appreciate it.

I am about an hour from there. It's one of those schools you don't think about till somebody mentions it. Then you say, "Oh, yeah, right. Lindsey Wilson."

While I have a STRONG aversion to anyone who dismisses rural LACs as sub-sub-standard, LW might have earned a thoughtful not kneejerk characterization as such.

There is a very loud amusement park right in front of my present lodgings.
