As Dean of Science at CCU I would like to add to Dan's comment: We are also hiring in several other areas: Biology, Physics, Marine Science, Computer Science, etc.

Let me just point out the obvious: this English department has a chair who not only is aware of these fora and is willing to post smoke-clearing truths using his real name, but also has a sense of humor about himself.  One would also be joining FOUR other new colleagues--virtually an entire class--in a young institution experiencing vibrant growth.

I would strongly recommend that anyone who is qualified for these positions run, not walk, to put in an application.

FYI: The "h" in "Horry County" is silent. Memorize this fact or risk having a very awkward moment.

There is a very loud amusement park right in front of my present lodgings.
