I'm ready to hide.

Just give me a spot on the floor.  Don't worry about the chocolate--it makes my chassis rust.

I miss the little room some of us once carved down in the Academic Libraries forum, that the Mods deleted (and then later denied deleting).

But that is in the past.

We must not live in the past.  We must not hide in the past.

We must be bold, fierce in our hiding.  In the present.  In plain sight.

<Gets up from nice sleep and stretches. Adds a few logs on the fire and water in the kittens/puppies dishes. Sees yellowtractor asleep on the floor. Puts a can of oil by him so he won't rust. Crawls back under blanket with basset hounds.>

<checks for chores that need doing, encourages rambunctious kittens and puppies to go play in the courtyard for a bit, snags more peanutbutter cups and returns to curtained windowseat>

Okay, I'm back to hide from work. I'm exhausted after staying up late to watch the Saints wax the Pats. I did NOT want to go to work today.

Didn't someone say there were new kittens for snuggling here?

Check outside in the courtyard.  They should be good and tired by now, so you can snuggle as many as you want.

Me too, GM - but I am both exhausted and depressed by the result. I brought some brownies and milk for everyone. I've been craving a brownie all day.

Just in case I was misunderstood, I loved the result of the game. I've been a Saints fan all of my life. Yes, even through the paper bag over the head years. I just needed more sleep!

Oh, brownies, yum!

I found some great sales on nice flannel PJs over the weekend... so here are several dozen sets in various sizes (male and female; long, regular, and short; XS through XXL) and patterns (black and gold with fleur-de-lis, yellow farm equipment, botanically accurate but cute flowers, plaids, puppies and kittens, and many more) to make your hiding experience even cozier.

<places another log on the fire>
<sees the oil can next to YT and adds a full grease gun and a tin of good wax, and a few soft cloths>

<places a large bowl of batter, a ladle, and a waffle iron on the counter, along with butter, margarine, maple syrup, whipped cream, and a variety of fruits>

If you're interested we've got waffle batter (from scratch, of course) ready to make waffles...

<returns to hiding from papers and exams>
