Great idea, GlowDart. Nothing feeds a fire like a stack of grading.

Now, where are those cats?
This one is ready for tomorrow. I can never get enough of pets in costumes!!! Guys, I can't hide from my dissertation revisions any longer. I'll be back at the end of day to hide from the revisions I still haven't finished. Keep the fire going and the keg cold! Mmm, well I can hide a little while longer while I finish my coffee right? I mean, it's cruel to disturb the puppy sleeping with his chin on my lap, right?

I read this at first and thought you were making cat somemores or something. Then I saw who wrote this and was relieved, deciding that the cats had some other purpose in this plan.

Because, you know, that stuff on the syllabus is like, in writing, and there are so many ways you can, like, read that, but when the guys who sit by you in class, like, you know, must know what's really going on, right? -- AmLitHist, channelling student

You know what I want? Those Nutter Butter Peanut Patties (not the sandwich cookies), which apparently they don't make any more.
No, say it isn't so. I, too, believe that the wafers are far superior to the peanut-shaped sandwiches. I've found the wafers here recently. If they truly stopped making them I'll cry. Just the right amount of bland sweetness.

Ok folks. I'm at home sipping cocoa under a blanket, so relieved to be away from it all. Now I'm doing so virtually as well -- minus the report, the talk, and the ethical dilemma all awaiting my weekend attention.
Hm, does someone have anything soothing to add to my cocoa?

I just baked some brownies. That should go well with cocoa. Here, pass the plate around.

Just the right amount of bland sweetness. I haven't been able to find them here or in J-Ville; I searched the Nabisco site and they don't have them listed. <pouts> Rose, put the bourbon *in* your coffee. Problem solved.
Now why didn't I think of that? Imagine how interesting the exam I wrote today would have been. . .

Tomorrow I am making apple crisp IRL. I will bring lots to share with the denizens of this thread, however.
Right now, contemplating polishing off the bourbon... unfortunately, the husband took the basset hound to bed with him. I'll just have to borrow one of bud04's to cuddle with...

Thanks, dept_geek! Care for an Entenmann's Frosted Donut? (In this comfy atmosphere I can even let the annoying spelling of "doughnut" go...I'm *that* mellow after the schnapps infusion of my cocoa.)

I'm hiding from my dissertation! Defense is in a month and I'm about to freak out because how can I get everything done?! I don't know! So I will hide here...
I had my first bout of stress-induced insomnia in a long while...
Shhh! I'm hiding from my dissertation, too. There's plenty of room here under my burgundy chenille throw. Heck, you can even have your own. Just don't talk--they might find us.

I am hiding from the disaster that is my house. I got some stuff put away yesterday, but the remainder seems to have multiplied over night. Sigh.
Yummm... Entenmann's and Krispy Kremes and fuzzy dogs.

Yes. I know they do. This is my dog a few years back. There is actually a fifth photo in the series where my husband extracts the thing from the hound's maw and chases me around the house with it, but we're both in the pic, so I didn't post it. http://s638.photobucket.com/albums/uu107/prof_smartypants/Basset%20Hounds%20Love%20Krispy%20Kremes/
