Dream job announcement .Only one year or multi-year contracts.

Can anyone provide info. about this place?

If I recall correctly from speaking to a former colleague who currently work there, there is no tenure system in place.  New hires get year to year contracts for the 5(?) or so years and then can receive multi-year (3?) contacts.  Hopefully someone else has more specific information to offer you.

Lasell College is in Newton, MA - an extremely expensive area to live.  Depending on where you are coming from, you may suffer some serious sticker-shock at housing prices.

A friend adjuncted there for many years. When a full-time job came up in hu's field, hu was the unanimous choice of the department. The new dean nixed hu in favor of . . . well, let's just say that hu could have filed multiple discrimination suits. Happily, hu got a very good full-time teaching job elsewhere. But it certainly left a bitter taste.
