Does anyone know of places to look for inexpensive international flights that originate in Canada? I need to book two international trips and am currently looking at close to $4000 in air fare. I don't know if things like Priceline work for flights booked outside the US.

www.kayak.com works with flights outside the US. I have consistently found it to find good fares. Happy travels!

You could try www.flightcentre.ca too - they often have fairly good deals, especially if you don't object to charter airlines. |

Thanks for the info so far. I checked the more expensive ticket and it is about $100 less on a few of the sites. I also called a travel agent and she was able to get two extra flights for the same price as I originally found. The other flight to the UK is the same price =(

Where are you? Most of us live near the US border and can hop over (Detroit, Buffalo, Seattle) to the US for cheaper flights.

I am several hours from one major Canadian airport and there are no large US airports nearby.

Try Canadian Affair. They have cheap flights to Britain, I think. From Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal.

I got a very good price to the U.K. from Air Transat, with Thomas Cook as the carrier. On my way back, my seatmates and I compared notes, and all of us had found this carrier to be the cheapest by far. I think they turned up on www.expedia.ca. |

So are fares from the US to Canada--I used freq flyer miles to get to my last conference to preserve some travel money. Toronto Pearson (YYZ), in particular, can be really expensive--huge landing fees, the highest in N. America, if memory serves, and the airlines pass the (non)savings on to you! |
