It widdleth.
Unfortunately, this means all the yummy mummies who live down this road obviously can't walk their darlings to school like they normally do, so I was woken by an 8am chorus of car doors, horns and screaming sproglets.

8am?? My sproglets are still asleep at that ungodly hour -- well, just waking up, so that we can manage the five-minute walk to school for an 8:50 start.
There are advantages to living in the provinces...

Annoyingly, most of the sproglets I've observed here seem to go to either the state or the private school opposite wegie towers I: walking time for this wegie, 15 minutes when pushing a heavy trolley load of books and hifi equipment!
Obviously the poor darlings are allergic to rain.

No sproglets at the end of this country lane. But, it is absolutely chucking it down. The resident hedgehog is having a feast on all the worms coming to the surface.

It rained early this morning, but once again I walked to my afternoon lecture around students lolling on the grass reading books (you can tell it is early in the term and the eagerness has not yet worn off).

Another sign of England's decline. Fortunately there are others in the land... Ahem... Today, grey on grey, slightly moist, ground springy to the touch but not yet so soft as to turn mucky if you step on it. And surprisingly warm. In other words, beautiful rugby weather.

But less exciting weather for biking to work. Let's just say it's a good thing I have spare shoes at work. testing squishes off to change shoes

Still no sign of the horrid weather wegie claimed was heading our way. It has been beautifully sunny here all day. Again. Sorry!

It wasnae me! It was the Met Office! Of course, their abilities at providing a reliable forecast anywhere north of Watford are well known ;-) Absolutely glorious here as well. Which probably means I should mow the lawn whilst I have a chance.

Does this mean a lawnmower actually appeared?

Does this mean a lawnmower actually appeared? Uh huh. Of course, it arrived on Tuesday when it was absolutely hurling down after a week of wonderful weather with which to deal with the lawn . . .

Another fabulous day here in the back of beyond. The weekend is, of course, looking less promising.

Lovely day here; sitting in the sun in the back garden.
Unfortunately, writing a response to the REF consultation....
