This is just right-wing bilge.

Who runs the What Will They Learn Web Site?

Why, it's the American Council of Trustees and Alumni.

Who on earth are they?

Let's check them out: http://goacta.org

Checking out their mission and history under "about us," we see they were founded and run for many years by one Dr. Jerry L. Martin.

I wonder who he is.  Let's google him.

Oh.  It turns out he's a crusader for college campus conservatives.

http://www.thefire.org/article/4987.html

Campus conservatives clearly have much to overcome, but in the words of yet another speaker, Dr. Jerry L. Martin, Chairman of the American Council of Trustees and Alumni, "Don't ever think we can't win!"

Just another right-winger who thinks we need to go back to the three R's.  Repeat, lather, rinse.

thefire.org sourced above is Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, by the way, which I'm sure some of you know is another bastion of right-wing antipathy toward academia.  Why, FIRE and ACTA are old chums.

Yes, this is stupid right-wing BS.

But as someone who knows one of those so-called A-colleges fairly well, I'm glad to see it's administration given a reason not to cut the foreign language requirement. I hope my colleagues there are pointing the website out to the chancellor by tomorrow afternoon.
