I am currently a post-doc.  I have been offered an opportunity to adjunct a class that would meet midday MWF in addition to my post-doc work (separate universities).  I will be applying for positions this fall as well.  How do people handle going to interviewing with their duties as an adjunct?  Last year I applied to places and sometimes had two interviews a week (got an offer but had to turn it down).  I don't want to take the adjunct position and then miss multiple classes.  I love teaching but want to do right by the students.  Figure many people on here have been able to handle the situation & do it well, so curious to what advice people have.

If possible, try to "hybridize" your class with an online space for assignments, discussions, letcure notes, etc. Then, when you have to miss class, plan to cover the same material in an online assignment/activity.
