Dear Friends,

I am a US citizen and currenly a tenured finance faculty memeber at a top-20 business school in the US.  What kind of salary can I expect to get in the middle east?  I am interested in teaching there just to experience the culture (and would stay if I like it), but I don't want to move if the salary is not competitive.  I would appreciate if some of you could provide a rough salary range.  I have a pretty good track record (more than 20 publications in top journals).

Thanks very much.  Cheers...

Given the wide range of salaries, benefits, allowances, housing packages, etc. and the particulars of your own situation, I would recommend that you check out the following website:

http://www.payscale.com

The results are produced on a comparative scale with other faculty at whatever institution you decide to enter as a sample. For me at least this was a terrific tool when I needed to negotiate the financial terms of my current position.
