Running on 2 Cylinders

I think we’re all still running at less than half of our potential.

And that Faith resembles Monarchy in many ways.

For Monarchy like Faith had an indisputable effect on making us less savage, and while not always understanding or tolerating them, at least functionally supporting others through the mechanism of hierarchy, accompanied by punishment.

But nations soon maturing into Republics, tired of long useless Princes and childish rite.

As for Morality, Super-Beings dismissed, Common Sense taking over the dictates of virtue, Great Provider of Safety,  by submission no more.

But our more recently Common Protective Sense or Rationality weakening some feel, a relapsing into Fantasy occurred, Robes and Supplication and a Return to Immaturity, all evident. The instinctive Renouncing of a degree of Intelligence, the result.

But not for long, as Absolutes do not exist, and Absolute Solutions, even less.

And Secularity and Republicanism remaining the pillars of new found Freedom and Individual Responsibility, in our most advanced societies.

With Well-Being long term best served, by everyone running… on 4 Cylinders again.
