Here too.  I'm hoping that there will be less reaction than yesterday to my mode of dress.

Alien still in residence down here . . . I'll give it a nudge to remind it that it should be covering the whole of the UK!

The alien is back here today. I love having a window in my office. In the States I always was in a basment and even when I had a window, I could not see the sky.

I love having a window in my (shared) office in Winter.  Unfortunately we have 'security issues', so all ground floor windows are:

i.  half-barred.

ii.  don't open.

Particularly joyous with the lack of air conditioning.

Me too. Though there was some rain this morning. Mercifully the temperature has dropped: there are few things worse than 200+ radiating bodies in a exam hall with the sun streaming in through the glass roof. Except maybe 300+ radiating bodies, like we had on Monday when it was particularly warm and sunny!

See, these Brits. They moan about the lack of sun for most of the year, then they moan that it's too hot when the sun does shine...;~)

A bit cooler and breezy but still really nice.

Other people have national costumes, and regional dance. The entire English heritage is based on moaning about the weather.

You have forgotten the part about the endless planning of car journeys... which route to take to avoid the traffic. And I don't mean LONG journeys... I'm talking about a drive to Tesco for a loaf of bread!

Sigh. Would anybody care to join my campaign for real summers?
