My sacroiliac joint has been dislocated, actually broken apart for several years. Yes, it hurts. When I was hurt, I went to a Dr who had ex-rays taken. Told me the problem and told me he did not know why it hurt because he believed I was born that way. I wasn't because I had seen my ex-ray there in that area when  was having some pain 10 years before. I was told to be careful because one side was much smaller than the other. The smaller side broke apart. I was dismissed because I was widowed and no longer had good medical insurance. So, I live in pain and do whatever I can with yoga and naturopathic  external treatments since I refuse to get hooked on pain meds.

It's a small kingdom but someone's got to rule it.

Renilouise, I'm the OP on this thread, started back in the summer of 2009. If you're still in pain, know that you don't have to resort to pain meds for lasting relief. Once I started to see a physical therapist who specialized in SI joint issues, the relief I got was substantial and lasting. She was able to gradually reposition the bones and ligaments, and strengthen the supporting structures to keep everything in place. For me, it was well worth the time and money.
