Anybody going to be in San Francisco in the next 10 days or so?

I will!

Cool!  So close but too far to join you at this time.  Enjoy your stay, say hi to my daughter while you're there!

I don't know about swimming outside though unless it is a heated pool. <interthreaduality> San Francisco is perfect right now but end of May and early June can be some of the coldest, foggiest days of the whole year.  The locals like to laugh at the goose-bumplied tourists wearing their skimpy summer vacation clothes and flip flops.  The souvenir shops make a killing selling over-priced touristy sweatshirts and jackets.  Be prepared for perfect or cold and take a sweater with you.

"That's a great deal to make one word mean," Alice said in a thoughtful tone.
"When I make a word do a lot of work like that," said Humpty Dumpty, "I always pay it extra."

I'll be staying in Marin County, actually, where 90 degree temperatures are predicted for the rest of the week and weekend; even the City, where I'll be on the weekend, looks like it will be in the 80s on Sunday.  The next ten days actually look like pretty good fire weather...hot, sunny, no fog or humidity...

Yeah, this weekend is supposed to be blazing hot, just in time for our outdoor commencement ceremonies.  It has been perfect weather through today.  It never fails, commencement day and move in day before the fall semester are always the hottest days of the year.    Enjoy your time in the Bay area, swimming to your heart's content.
