Well, this is a very specific question, but I'm having no luck with Microsoft.  Maybe someone else has had this problem and has come up with a work-around.

I'm developing an online course and I'm trying to add slide-by-slide recorded narrative to my PowerPoint presentations, on a MacBook Pro.  Trouble is that, when I try to play it back after recoding,  PowerPoint appears to randomly cut off the narrative.  Sometimes this happens the first time I play it back, sometimes it happens after I've played it back a few times.  Once cut off, it never comes back.  Anybody else have this particular issue?  Any solutions?

I'm going to try and record the narrative on a PC in my lab and see if that works.

Did you check the default setting for PP in preferences?

Did a quick Google search ( http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=&q=mac+powerpoint+audio+cuts+out+randomly&aq=f&oq= ) , and found a long, but hopefully useful, response here: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.mac.office.powerpoint&tid=cb7e6d36-1a7c-41d8-a642-cbb14d88ce4e&cat=en_US_4537d8b6-29b4-48d0-aa55-7aaca112a664&lang=en&cr=US&sloc=&p=1

Does that help?
