Does anyone know what is going on with the job searches for NYU Abu Dhabi? Seems like a black hole.

I received a the following form rejection letter from them in early April:

Dear Candidate,

   As members of the NYU Abu Dhabi Humanities Coordinating Group, we write to let you know about the state of our candidate search and about the status of your application.
   We received hundreds of strong applications, which made our decision difficult. We regret to say that you have not been selected for our shortlist.
   Our search is now closed, but since more positions may open up in the future, we would like, with your permission, to keep your application on file.
   We thank you very much for your interest in NYU Abu Dhabi.
