Hello everyone,
I have been offered a position at AUS and I am wondering if anyone has any experience of working in this institution or in Sharjah in the UAE. I wouold love to hear your views. Your help is much appreciated.

Hi,
Overall it has a relatively good reputation in the region. But, at the end all will depend on which department you are planning to join. On the other hand, it is quite small and mostly undergraduate teaching oriented, with little support for serious research. If research is not of your top priorities then it should be a nice place to work in, with one of the most generous employment packages around (free housing, tax free salary, paid airtickets, etc).
