I'm staring a stack of little assignments in the face.  Uggggh, I hate having to give little assignments!  Back in my day it was two or three big assignments and that was it.  And we liked it.

I have it pretty easy compared to many of you guys (just 16 M.A. papers to grade), but I just cannot bring myself to get started. Aargh. I've been sitting on these papers since LAST Thursday. It might be better if I liked this semester's grad students more, but (with a couple of exceptions) they're a pretty dull bunch, unfortunately.

Tomorrow. Tomorrow is the day I will tackle these things, I swear.

Or you could just clean your house!

Yes, tomorrow.  Tomorrow the two of us are going to grade like we have never graded before.  We will be swift.  We will be just.  We will be merci--mer--mercif--

amiens, LOL!

Unfortunately, thenewyorker, I already scrubbed the bathrooms on Friday when I was supposed to be grading. They are sparkling! Mr. City handles the kitchen, so that's already clean. There IS the stack of papers and mail on the dining room table that needs sorting, though. Hmmm.

..Okay no, really, today is the day. Today is the day. Today is the day. (If I keep saying it, I assume that I will eventually pick up a deathly dull paper and start reading, right? Right?)

Finished one class.  A high of 98 and a low of 36.  The best gem of the bunch: pollution melts ice caps (to a question dealing with causes and results of climate change).  I'm going to the movies today rather than grading for another class.  I need a break.

Grading never felt so good...

I've got a nice bunch of exams and essays to grade for tomorrow.  Purple pen is poised.  Anyone else up for some grading today?

I'm grading! I'm gonna tackle the remaining papers any second now. Just as soon as I finish setting the tests for tomorrow that will generate even more grading.

I've started with the exams.  One class had a take-home exam.  I'm shocked by how poor the quality of the writing is, even for something like short identifications and definitions.

Feeling a bit blue.  Maybe it is time for a cuppa.

Yeah, a cuppa sounds about right, right now. I've finished the first draft of 1 test, scrubbed the toilet, and graded one paper. This does not bode well.

I'm getting really, really tired of seeing 1/6 + 1/6 = 2/12 = 1/6.

On the plus side, my apartment hasn't been this clean in a long time. Scrubbing the floor is far less depressing.

I see many elementary teachers twitching if college students are still making these kinds of mistakes!

Mine look small, as they are on the USB, but I am not fooled. Well, I guess I am fooling myself into thinking it will be a reasonable load for this evening:)
