"I think the whole paper had some good ideas but I think you might need to focus more on the impacts of HIV/AIDS on the economical aspects, all you said up to this point was how dangerous HIV/AIDS is to your health, not to the economical growth and well-being, and some sentences were run-on sentences and was repetitive."
Is it possible the person is a genius and carefully crafted this self-referential meta-gem? I used to wonder that about my students, but the answer has consistently been a definite "No."

As near as I can tell this was meant to be the thesis statement:
[Founding novel of magical realism] has supernatural elements.

Clearly the student is trying to make sure his/her thesis is defensible.

And you know what, I bet it also has some realistic elements. That's my thesis and I'm sticking to it! My other thesis is that it was originally written in Spanish by a writer from South America. God, I'm so insightful today!

My other thesis is that it was originally written in Spanish by a writer from South America. I wish they had written this because, technically, it wasn't, and if my students can't figure out which countries are part of South America, they lose yet again. Besides, it is so much easier to convince them "You are wrong. No credit." than "You don't have a point. No credit." (luckily, this essay had some of the former, too)

Clearly the student is trying to make sure his/her thesis is defensible. Have you ever noticed the religious themes in the Bible? You should read it with that in mind sometime.

Not a sentence, per se, but I just had a whole paragraph from a student discussing the "5 cannons of rhetoric." I would guess that, for this student, the "rhetorical force" of one's argument has an entirely different meaning.

Just in on a midterm.
The question: Name and describe 2 examples of how biological forces can effect physical or chemical weathering processes.
The answer: Biology helped in making an atomic bomb, which had lots of chemical weathering when it went off.
It's not looking good here...

Your professors were probably afraid of your galactic genius and did everything they could (behind the scenes) to thwart your hedginess. Hedgie loves to read.

My favorite of the current batch, so far (they're supposed to summarize why the Chesapeake colonies became a "slave society"): Slavery societies became slavery in the colonies because, slaves where the most dominate source of labor along with different shifts that created the dominate forms and the new laws they made up as they went along so they could make slavery societies work.

I believe we must have the same students. Wow. Completely incomprehensible.
