I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard anything about the 2009 International Society for the History of Rhetoric conference, in Montreal in July?  I submitted an abstract a long time ago and haven't heard anything since.  Their website (which hasn't been updated since October) said they'd contact people in September to let them know if they were on the program or not.  I haven't heard anything, and I've even emailed the conference organizer.

Is anyone else having this same problem?

Hi:

I know one of their board members personally. My "source" says they are far behind schedule and will send word to the submitters before Spring.

Okay, thanks.  I suspected as much.  I'll be on the lookout to hear from them then.
