While editing my preferences for email notifications, after I hit save, the user name poiesis came up in the 'block' list. AFAIK I have never blocked anyone, nor have I heard of this user.

I did a quick google and can't find this name on the fora at all.

Here is poiesis's profile.  Poiesis apparently registered in July 2006, visited the fora for about fifteen minutes without posting, and never logged on again.

Do you blame him? What with people blocking him for no reason?

LOL! yes, poor po! But the weird thing is, s/he wasn't in my block list before I clicked 'save changes'. I thought maybe this person was automatically blocked as a known nuisance (but I wasn't aware the mods would do something like that).

As far as I know, the mod's don't do anything like that.  You must have inadvertently done something yourself to block po' po.

The first time I edited my PM prefs, the same things happened to me.  I notified the mods about it as a software error, but he's still there (never could get it fixed).

Wait. You mean, you blocked Poeisis, too?

And Poeisis is female, btw. It says so in her profile. We should have used hu if we weren't sure.

The software does it all by itself.  When I remove her, she doesn't stay removed.

Oops.  Sorry.  I haven't looked at the profile since the problem first appeared.

You can't misspell a moniker. It's your moniker, and you can spell it however you want.

Yes. I have often wondered what happened to Prytania1 and Prytania2 and Prytania405.

Yes. I have often wondered what happened to Prytania1 and Prytania2 and Prytania405.

I never knew about them.

There was Prytania that someone stole, but there was never a 1 or a 2. I'm Prytania 3 because I like the number 3. And I certainly don't recall a Prytania405.

Actually the 3 was supposed to stand for the 3000 block of Prytania Street when I was a troll on the education forum of the Times-Picayune--which predated my life on the CHE.
