Anyone in here using the Workshop feature in Moodle to have students peer assess?

No, I haven't but one of my colleagues is the real moodle enthusiast. Have you looked at the forums on

Thanks csguy.... I don't have a need for technical support. I was just wondering if others are using this feature. We started it this year... our objective is to cut down on teacher assessment but use peer assessment while a project is in development.
At the end of the project the teacher will assess along the same lines as the students have been assessing. We've created a specific rubric for students to use for marking. The teacher's rubric follows the same lines... but in more depth. We're seeing excellent results from this.

I've played with it BUT:
Turnitin (the plagiarism system) has a truly great peer review system for students- it's also good at managing groups. I've had good experiences using peer review on Turnitin.
The upfront work is large but the rewards are immense.
