Hi Everyone,

I've trying to get my latest book listed in the Chronicle's weekly list of scholarly books.  Despite several emails from me and two copies sent by my editor, I have not seen it listed nor have I even received a reply to my messages.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Dear Prof. Prescott,

Nina Ayoub here. I left you a message on your voice mail. Please do get in touch with me. I guess UMP was not in touch after I contacted them regarding your book. My apologies for the misconnect.

Other scholars on the forum: Please have your press's publicity department contact me in advance of or immediately upon publication of your book. Given the thousands of individual scholarly authors who publish each year, it is best to deal through the presses whenever possible. Please also urge them to follow up on a title soon after publication if there is any question.

Most of your publishers probably know my email address. But for those who do not, it is nina.ayoub@chronicle.com

Thanks for your reply.  Actually, I and my press have been in touch with you several times -- we have sent two copies, one to you and one to Eric Hoover.  We have also sent several follow-up emails to you and several other editors which have gone unanswered.  This has been going on since the book came out in December 2008.  I realize you receive a lot of books but the topic of mine is on the history of student health services in the United States [for those interested, the title is Student Bodiesand it came out with University of Michigan in 2008.  Anyway, I'll return your phone call and hopefully we can work this out.

Sorry, that should have been December 2007.

Kudos here for Nina Ayoub, who wrote up my second book for "Nota Bene" a few years ago.
