Hi Pilgrimsoul -

So, the fertility issues are real.  The previous posters are sugar coating this a lot.

I hope my post supported what macaroon says, rather than undermining it.  The fertility issues are real.  Just because there are some success stories, doesn't mean that everyone can be one.  That's why I said the thing about accepting it as a reality and being okay with it was really important, and I wanted to stress that it isn't important just because it might lower your cortisol levels so that you can get pregnant...because that might not help at all.  It is important for your mental health, so that you can live a happy life in spite of where your fertility goes.

Oseph....you are right and you make sense.

I know this an old post, but I would encourage you to go to www.pcoschallenge.com. The women there are super supportive and I’ve learned so much information about PCOS from the site and their radio show about PCOS.

I had it for years but wasn't officially diagnosed until much later.  I had massively irregular periods which were treated with birth control pills (this won't help, though, with having babies) which made things fine.  Otherwise, I had lots of ovarian cysts and heavy bleeding; I was told I would have difficulty becoming pregnant (I wasn't trying, though).  It also affected my sex drive by driving it up.  I know every woman is affected in somewhat different ways.

For those with the site address, thanks.  I am going to try that site--wish I had heard about it years ago.
