Yep, the diabetic cat website/community is an excellent place for help and information. 

My sugar-cat is up to 71/2 units Vetsulin twice daily, and is still completely unregulated.  Her BGs are in 400s, and she is still not using the litterbox.  I am slowly and steadily raising her insulin.  She eats low fat kibble and fancy feast.  I used the prescription DM food for a year, and then decided it wasn't worth the money.

If I understand you correctly Motherbair, you are not administering insulin?
