You have my sympathies, if you'll offer me yours as well. I felt my cold coming on Wed. and the past several days have sucked!
I am a whore for OTC medications to mask the misery, and also love my medicinal toddies. Brandy, lemon juice, and honey - warmed up. This will clear your sinuses right out. When I was wee, my grandpa used to make these for me (and I often pretended to be sick just so I could get one - no, I don't have a problem why do you ask?). They always make me feel better.

Just thought I'd add another voice to the chorus of minor misery. I'm on my third cold in five weeks (my toddler started preschool recently and we knew this kind of thing was coming, but still). This wouldn't be so bad except that I'm pregnant and wary of taking anything that would normally alleviate some of the more annoying symptoms. Longing for that Benadryl coma...or at least a good frozen cocktail to dull the pain!!! Sugaree, that brandy thing sounds delicious.

I swear by the Zicam. I usually laugh off any product marked "homeopathic," but this seems to work with me. I was coming down with a cold yesterday, as of now I feel fine.
Anybody else use it?
