I am currently an adjunct in Early Childhood and would like to work/research in: teacher education, child development, and parenting  from an international focus.
Are there better places than others? How do you start the process, what agencies help with that? I started out looking on UNESCO's site, I have three school age children as well. It's a change of life thing, I've wanted to do this forever, but do I have to wait until my children leave? They're currently homeschooled so we're flexible in that respect.
Thanks for any insight, leads or tips.

HI,

You may want to consider Zayed University in Dubai, UAE.  They have a College of Education and they are currently looking for an early childhood faculty member.

I worked at ZU as an adminstrator in Abu Dhabi, the College of Ed is well respected in the UAE.

The one word of caution is that life is very expensive in the UAE so be sure you negotiate well.

Their web site is www.zu.ac.ae

I have lived in the UAE for almost 5 yrs and its a great place for kids too.  K-12 supports home schooling here.

U can reach me at brncha@hotmail.com for more info

Best wishes
